Claims Special Bacteria, Drugs Stimulating over Population Asthma Contributor
A Doctor, himself a former asthmatic, Fred Pescatore, M.D. has a book out. "Allergy and Asthma Cure" and like the Wisconsin Doctor Hahn, he, too, connects a bacteria with some asthma cases. He writes citing an that an astounding 30-40% of the North American population are suffering from hay fever and allergies. Of those, Dr. Pescatore contends, 38% have also been diagnosed with asthma. He says that in contrast 78% of those suffering from asthma also suffer from allergies. "These two diseases co-exist," he concludes, "Statistics from his book show the death rate from asthma has doubled since 1980; and a high proportion of those fatalities now involve children." Editors Note: Asthma deaths were almost unheard of prior to the heavy application of drugs, and some recent studies suggesting that inhalers are involved in up to 90% of current deaths.Dr. Pescatore says his work is to liberate folks suffering from their inhalers, antihistamines, steroids, and other medications since, oddly enough, their medications may be contributing to their condition he says. Editors Note: This is a common observation of those going on more and more powerful drugs, that they seem to worsen and accelerate the worsening process. The real asthma culprit, he believes, is an abundance of a common organism found in the digestive tract, Candida albicans. This organism is normally in the body, however, Pescatore suggests that taking too many courses of antibiotics and including oral steroid inhalants, a common asthma treatment "can over stimulate its growth." So this is his conclusion, that he is saying is one of the reasons the drug use accelerates the progression of asthma. The course of treatment the doctor outlines in his book, of ridding yourself of this bacteria, (like Dr. Hahns treatments, in Wisconsin,) Pescatore claims, has alleviated not only his own symptoms, but those of his patients, thereby eliminating the need for medication. Doing away with the troubling asthma drugs side effects which he says include weight gain, jitters, and a "spaced-out" feeling compounded by difficulty in concentrating. Editors note: One of the natural cures for this type of bacteria and preventive, is garlic and onions. (perhaps also Cayenne Pepper, Tabasco type, etc.) that may be one of the reasons that garlic turns up as on many lists of successful asthma home remedies. His book suggest supplements and other dietary changes. Allergies come with the bacteria inflaming airways, etc. What causes allergies cause asthma and the other way around. In other words, one common cause.End of book review... This gives a basis for why some diet changes may be important and very helpful in some cases. End of story. Pescatore Book Review
