Asthma is in short a bodily operating system screw up, that is a
variable unpredictable reoccurring, causing your air pipes (bronchi) to
become inflamed, swollen and air flow obstructed with spasms, etc. that
can be life threatening.
Asthma, is considered "incurable" by the medical society which
only considers
"Not Curable with surgery or prescriptions," which is the only
things they know. If not curable with those two it is
pronounced "incurable".
They only treat symptoms, the word "cure" is not in their
vocabulary. You have to look outside the medical fraternity for life
long relief.
300 Million people currently have this problem, it is something you
inadvertently do to yourself and discontinuing what is causing your
problem is the cure,
The basic problem affecting most is one of inadvertent involuntary
hyperventilation breathing mistake that can be
"unlearned."
Diet, inflammation, bacteria, fungus, are also possible villains that
correction can lead to a lifetime cure or improvement.
The number of people affected, particularly children, is exploding in
number and it is important to their lives to get this escalating problem
fixed now before it interferes with their "normal" living of
their life.
The involuntary breathing mistake (habit developed) that can be
unlearned and correct method adopted, besides undoing asthma, also
affects these symptoms:
Wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, sneezing, congested nose, snoring,
sleep apnea, headaches, anxiety, tension, depression, apprehension and
stress.
Learning, establishing and practicing until making this your automatic
breathing system is also beneficial to singers and athletes.
It is being adopted and learned by people in these professions and is
beneficial as well as to asthmatics.
The learning of this method of breathing, called the "Buteyko
Method," can be compared to learning to ride a bicycle
but is more complicated because the OLD wrong action has to be
"unlearned" and replaced with the correct method.
Those unable to fully learn and adopt the change in breathing, generally
report great improvement overall in their condition, even if not totally
eliminated, never the less.
Buteyko Practitioner Taught Courses are usually 5 to ten days, (2 hour
sessions) but as much as six months private practice may be required to
obtain maximum turn around benefit.
A five year old only recently developing asthma from incorrect breathing
will learn the change, usually, in short order, he has only been doing
it wrong a short time.
A person with asthma for 50 years will take longer to learn to change
over what has become his well established faulty breathing pattern.
